My Dark Fantasy Vision

Fans of medieval fantasy have clearly changed their interests in recent years, as popular series such as Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings have become less influential in popular culture. Even though many people will always have a soft spot for these beloved worlds, there is a rising demand for something new that deviates from the clichés and rules of conventional fantasy literature. Here's my dark fantasy realm, "Tales of Gwyn" the ideal remedy for the genre's current state of weariness. For those looking to discover a new world, it delivers a breath of fresh air with its engrossing mythology, intricately detailed worlds, and striking 1970s throwback dark fantasy design. With its complex world-building and captivating artwork, "Tales of Gwyn" is certain to rekindle fantasy enthusiasts' fervour and usher in a new era of narrative. Tales of Gwyn is the perfect destination for anyone seeking to explore beyond the boundaries of conventional culture and experience thrilling adventures around every corner.

Anyone who is willing to explore the world of dark fantasy can embark on this adventure, regardless of whether they select the hardback ($29.88 USD), paperback ($17.89 USD), and kindle version ($4.99 USD).

The Regions of Gwyn

Gwyn is divided into five different realms, each with an own form of government that combines democracy and monarchy. Every corner of Gwyn pulsates with life and mystery, eager to be explored, from the mist-shrouded Bloodmoon Isle ruled by King Morvus Blackthorn to the icy grip of the Snowdrift Dominion commanded by King Bore Icemane. However, the destiny of Gwyn is shaped by a wide range of people who live here, not simply the rulers. You'll come across a mosaic of cultures within its boundaries, ranging from the arrogant Drakar to the mysterious Voidkin and the honourable Eldoran. Every race adds a unique flavour to Gwyn's melting pot, weaving tales of bravery, treachery, and redemption throughout.

Brynndor:

Brynndor is divided by two radically distinct parts. It is ruled by The Arcane Sovereign Guild and is honoured by the gods Zephyrus and Seraphina. The lower area is full of lush, Seraphina-filled meadows, undulating hills, and green sceneries. On the other hand, the top half is made up of massive mountain ranges that are the epicentre of thunderstorm activity. It rises steadily to its peak close to the edge of the Snowdrift Dominion and is infused with Zephyrus's spirit. Each of the five distinct districts of Brynndor, Stormspear, Tarannon, Derwenholt, Elderwood, and Greenbriar—has a special combination of elemental power and the beauty of the natural world, adding to the magical atmosphere and appeal of the realm.

Rhyddia:

Water is sacred in Rhyddia, the mystical realm ruled by the god Eldorin and presided over by Queen Elwen Aurandor. A vast forest of unusual dark brown and blue oak trees provides cover for a variety of eerie creatures to the west, while strong winds whip across rocky terrain to the north that is dotted with blue, crystal-like veins. In and around Edensgate, the capital city, the weather is still calm, in stark contrast to the desolate south, where The Abysswatcher is buried every year. Rhyddia is a place of profound mysticism and magic. Its four different regions—Skyhaven, Aetherwind, Titanwood, and Solstice Fen—each represent the spirit of Eldorin.

Snowdrift Dominion:

King Bore Icemane's Snowdrift Dominion is home to the Titanborn, who live in a frigid, wintry land blessed by the gods Zephyrus and Gwiraelin. The sea encircles the capital city, Blizzard's Reach, which is located on the Icebound Plains. The Snowdrift Dominion, which experiences severe winters, is home to prehistoric resources and artefacts, and its territories are richly endued with the essence of its gods. The Snowdrift Dominion, which is made up of seven regions (Cyrofant, Lochaven, Titansguard, Gwyntgar, Gwyr, Lowlands, and Icebound Plains), depends on the cooperation of the Ice Forged Confederacy, which is made up of Gwyntgar, Titansguard, and Lochaven. This alliance provides the continent with a strong infrastructure and shared resources.

Ebonholt:

Mordrakar is the capital city of a land inhabited by the Voidkin within the region of Ebonholt, which is led by Queen Zephyra Darkfyre and honoured by the gods Cyfandor and Seraphina. Only special beings born in the Age of Frey live on this world. Tall mountains and vast volcanoes dominate its northern regions, while flatlands covered in thick forests make up its southern landscape. Here, nature adopts an unusual colour, turning from a typical verdant green to orange in the summer. A mysterious weather phenomena occurs in the winter when the ground crystallises like fungus, creating dark purple crystals from inanimate objects. The continent is divided into five countries: Tanbryn, Mistveil, Shadowmere, Duskenwood, and Vantamist. Mordrakar is positioned near the boundaries of three of these countries. Having established a strong alliance with Bloodmoon Isle, this country is a beacon of strength and solidarity in the middle of its distinctive and constantly changing environment.

Bloodmoon Isle:

Bloodveil is the capital city of an enormous island shaped like a crescent moon that is home to the Drakar people, located in the realm ruled by King Morvus Blackthorn and honoured by the god Maelgor. The north is made up of low, level terrain accented with limestone and molten rock that progressively rises to massive mountains in Bloodmoon South. Grass patches, tinged with faded green in summer and dark grey in winter, are mostly found in the forested areas of the northwest. The six different nations that make up Bloodmoon Isle are Bloodmoon North, Raven's Moor, Crimson Rifts, Morgalith's Highlands, and Bloodmoon South. Remarkably, tucked away on Crimson Rifts' southwest coast is a sizable subterranean cave that contains a glistening blue lake that holds the holy essence known as Maelgors Peace. Despite its varied and mysterious terrain, this realm—of which Bloodveil is the capital—stands as a monument to fortitude and resiliency.

You will travel through expansive landscapes and bustling cities, all of which are shown in amazing detail, as you turn the pages of "Tales of Gwyn". Retro fantasy art from a bygone era of storytelling breathes life into every corner of Gwyn, from the airy spires of Rhyddia to the rugged beauty of Brynndor.

The Intricate Details of the Dark Fantasy Dragons

Explore more into the mysterious realm of Gwyn, where magic permeates everything and dragons rule supreme. Each creature carries the essence of one of the six gods, from the menacing Morgalith dragons of Bloodmoon Isle to the placid Seraphic Wyverns of Brynndor, influencing the fate of the realm with their presence. The variety of these magnificent creatures, from the crackling lightning of the Gwyntorach to the icy breath of the Gwyrfrost, lends layers of mystery and wonder to the fabric of Gwyn.

Amber:

But among the magnificent dragons is another treasure that many who aspire to power and glory would kill for: Amber. This enchanted material, extracted from dragons' auracores, contains the very essence of magic. Amber may be infused into an array of objects, from armour and weapons to potions and spells, giving its wielder unfathomable power and potential. But getting this valuable resource is no easy feat—you have to venture into the depths of dragon lairs and take on the creatures themselves. The rewards are infinite for those brave enough to search for the Amber; it provides a window into a world where the impossibly imaginable becomes a reality.
